Northern Lights in the Artic 5nights

Start and finish your Arctic experience in Rovaniemi, the hometown of Santa Claus. The next day a bus transfer will bring you to the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, where you are going to spend three nights in a unique and original accommodation – the Kelo Glass Igloo, where you can enjoy the northern lights directly from your bed.

Day 01: Rovaniemi

• Situated right by the Arctic Circle, the ‘official’ terrestrial residence of Santa Claus is also the capital of Finnish Lapland. Rovaniemi offers numerous restaurants and sights, so make sure to take advantage of your time. Airport bus included.

Day 02: Bus to Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort

• After a good breakfast, you will take the public bus from Rovaniemi to the famous Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort and overnight (three nights) in one of the beautiful Kelo Glass Igloos. Surrounded by Lapland’s natural beauty Hotel & Igloo Village Kakslauttanen is situated near Urho Kekkonen National Park.
  
  
• The hotel and igloo village offer cozy first-class log cabins and their famous Glass Igloos. The Kelo glass igloo (a combination of glass igloo and log cabin) provides a one of a kind opportunity to admire the northern lights and millions of stars of the crystal-clear sky in comfort. This product is a personal favorite of ours and is highly recommended for a romantic retreat or a family holiday (snowfall might happen as early as October but should not be expected).

Day 03 & 04: Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort

• Two days at leisure do enjoy everything the Lappish Wilderness.
  
  
• Book one of the many activities available at the resort like a visit to a husky farm, the always popular husky hiking trip or horseback riding though the Lappish forest. For the more adventurous, Kakslauttanen is also offering quad bike safaris. Prices on request.
  
  

Day 05: Rovaniemi

• Bus from Kakslauttanen back to Rovaniemi.
  
  
• We recommend a visit to the Arktikum science museum or if you haven’t had the time before, make sure to stop by Santa’s village! If you are up for another fun activity, try floating under the Northern sky. We are happy to organize it for you.
  
  
• Accommodation at a 4* hotel in Rovaniemi.
  
  

Day 06: Departure

• Bus Transfer from Rovaniemicenter to Rovaniemi Airport and individual departure.

 

• 2x Airport transfer (first and last day).
  
  
• 2 Nights hotel accommodation Rovaniemi.
  
  
• 2x transfer Rovaniemi – Kakslauttanen and back.
  
  
• 3 Nights at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, Kelo Glass Igloo.
  
  
• 5x breakfast buffet.
  
  

• Northern Lights observation cannot be guaranteed since it is a natural phenomenon and weather dependent.
  
  
• All additional activities incur an extra cost, and some might require specific insurance / qualification e.g. driver’s license).
