-
Location: Croatia :: Europe
-
Duration: 4 Nights/ 5 Days
-
Package ID: 1089
Location
Situated
in Southern Central Europe, a roughly horseshoe-shaped country with a coastline
1,777 kilometres long. No less than 1,185 islands lie offshore, but only 66 of
them inhabited. Slovenia lies to the north, Italy to west. To the east and
south are Bosnia and Montenegro, both peaceful, and newly-independent countries
of the former Yugoslavia. Croatia’s stunning coastline is on the Adriatic Sea,
one of the cleanest seas in Mediterranean and wonderfully warm.
The
Nation
An old friend with a new name, Croatia became an independent nation with a multi-party democracy in 1991. The population is 90% Roman Catholic and many aspects of Croatia are reminiscent of Italy, Spain and France, where strong family values remain and churches are well sup
ported. Typically Mediterranean
traits are afternoon siestas during hot summer months when shops usually close
and the corso, the famous Latin evening walking parade where locals stroll
together in their finest clothes.
Zagreb
Incentive Program
Visitors
may have a sense of déjà -vu while strolling down the cobblestone streets of
Zagreb’s medieval Upper Town or sipping an espresso on the patio of a
turn-of-the-century hotel. For years, moviemakers have been using the city’s
classic Austro- Hungarian architecture as a stand-in for capitals like Vienna
or Budapest. It is Zagreb you see in many mini-series, including “The Winds of
War†and in feature films starring George C. Scott, William Hurt, Jane Seymour,
Meryl Streep or Richard Chamberlain. The Upper Town’s picturesque Stone gate,
the site of a popular religious shrine, and its towers and fortifications are
major tourist attractions. Its churches and chapels, especially its twin-spired
neo Gothic cathedral, the lovely Church of St. Mark and the lavishly baroque
Church of St. Catherine are also popular with visitors.

parks in the country. This is why the entire lakes and surrounding area were
declared a national park in 1949 and are listed on the UNESCO`s list of World
Heritage Sites because of its exceptional beauty. It is a valley situated between
high forested mountains in which lie, one below another, a string of sixteen
beautiful lakes of crystal blue and green waters. Fed by small streams and
brooks, they spill into each other in 92 foaming cascades and thundering
waterfalls. The Plitvice lakes` scenery will simply delight you regardless

3) Excursion to Slovenia - Ljubljana Sightseeing Tour
The capital city of Slovenia lies in a basin between the Karst and the alpine
region at 298 meters above sea level. We like to say it is sufficiently large
to contain everything that a capital should have, and small enough to preserve
the individuality of its inhabitants. It is a city with a soul, featured by the
Baroque Old Town which is nestled at the foot of Castle Hill, the Art Nouveau
mansions as well as some of the masterpieces of the world renowned architect
JožePleÄnik. Ljubljana nowadays presents the political, cultural, and
scientific and university centre of Slovenia. Adding an open-air market,
Ljubljanica River that meanders through the city and a mighty castle rising
above the narrow streets – all that and much more you can admire in Ljubljana.
Free time for lunch and exploring the city on own.
Included: Transportation, guide, local guide in Ljubljana up to 2hrs
(Duration up to 8 hrs) – ID or passport obligatory!
4) Excursion to HrvatskoZagorje
Drive the Zagorje highway directly to the Trakoscan castle, most visited and
best preserved castle in the country. Built in the 14th century as a small
fortress, the castle has been rebuilt and renovated several times until the
19th century. After a guided tour of the castle, depart toward Veliki Tabor,
one of the largest and the oldest medieval castle-fortresses in the country,
built in the 15th century, renovated and reopened in November 2011. Take a
break on the “Gresnagorica†hill facing the castle. The name (Hill of Sin in
English) derives from the legend of the forbidden love between the Count
Friedrich from the Veliki Tabor castle and Veronica, a peasant girl from the
neighboring village of Desinic. This is the ideal spot either for taking
pictures of the castle. Proceed towards Kumrovecthe unique ethno-village of
Kumrovec is a reminiscent of the ancient way of life in this whole region.
Visitors can see old houses and barns displaying the old crafts and the way of
life almost forgotten. Return to Zagreb.

Tabor castles and StaroSelo museum in Kumrovec (Duration up to 8 hrs).
Activities:
1) Karting (Duration up to 5 hrs)
Karting can be organized for team building events for companies which consist
of "hobby karting races" and barbecue for the team building
participants.
Included: Transfers, instructors, insurance, trophy for best constestants.
2) Corporate Challenge (Duration approx. 3 hrs)
In nature, positive environment and with good moderation, participants would be
exposed to various challenges that must solve as a team but also individually.
Disciplines are conceived that participants have fun, to add competitive note
and stimulate joint action of all participants within a team. Through a short
training, split into teams and instructions the participants will be introduced
with activities.
We suggest that the teams are created on the basis of the heterogeneity with
respect to the location and type of job and departments - in this way the
participants will get known each other better, and through the exchange of
different experiences, knowledge, skills and ideas find better solutions. Of
course, the teams should strive for an equal number of participants of both
genders.
Included: Transfers, instructors, equipment.
3) Sport Games (Duration approx. 3 hrs)
We will organize 10 disciplines like in athletic meeting. All disciplines will
be continual and simultaneous. In every discipline number of participants will
be defined, team members will select, among themselves, members who will
represent their team in every discipline. The principle of uniformity determine
an equal number of female and male members from each team.
Included: transfers, instructors, equipment.
4) Kayaking Mrežnica Canyon (Duration approx. 6 hrs)
The adventure takes us through a gorge so narrow and deep that the sun enters
it for only a few hours each day, around noon, creating spectacular light
effects. We will pass cliffs of carved white rocks, lush vegetation and
cascading waterfalls, strong freshwater springs and pools of water which are
great for swimming in summer. The second highest waterfall on the Mreznica (8m)
is a magical place ideal for swimming and a picnic.

The Museum of Contemporary Art (Croatian: Muzejsuvremeneumjetnosti, often

acquired artworks by those Croatian and international artists who revealed
intriguing and high-quality artistic aspirations, including a new or different
visual language. The Museum's collections document the beginnings and the
logical evolution of certain artistic tendencies, as well as their direct or
indirect impact on the production that followed. At the same time, the
collections witness the topicality of Croatian artistic production in
particular time periods, in their relation to the parallel currents in European
and global art. Projects in the external space of the Museum are an integral
part of Collection in Motion and are located in the outdoor areas of the Museum
- on access terraces, on the roof, beneath the wings of the building, and
elsewhere. Some are huge and loud, while others are discreet and self-effacing,
mentioning the interactive installation-sculpture by the German artist Carsten
