Zagreb is a city with a rich history dating from Roman times. Zagreb has special status as a Croatian administrative division and is a consolidated city-county (but separated from Zagreb County), and is administratively subdivided into 17 city districts. Most of them are at a low elevation along the river Sava valley, whereas northern and northeastern city districts, such as Podsljeme and Sesvete districts are situated in the foothills of the Medvednica mountain,[19] making the city's geographical image rather diverse. The city extends over 30 kilometres (19 miles) east-west and around 20 kilometres (12 miles) north-south.

Day 1:

  • Arrival to Zagreb airport, overnight at the hotel in Zagreb.

  • ZAGREB: the capital town of Croatia with numerous possibilities for sightseeing including: the Cathedral, St. Mark's Church, St. Katarina's Church, Mirogoj cemetery, old Upper Town, open-air market, Stone Gate etc.

Day 2:

  • Drive from Zagreb to Plitvice, overnight in Plitvice.

Day 3:

  • Drive from Plitvice to Trogir, overnight in Trogir.

Day 4:

  • Drive from Trogir to Dubrovnik, overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 5:

  • Departure from Dubrovnik to Split, overnight Split.

Day 6:

  • Drive from Split to Zadar, overnight Zadar.

  • ZADAR: The oldest Slavic city on the adriatic Coast with many historical monuments such as Roman Forum, St. Donat's Church.

Day 7:

  • Drive from Zadar to Opatija, overnight Opatija.

  • OPATIJA: once the resort of choice for European royalty with beautiful promenade by the sea.

Day 8:

  • Drive from Opatija to Zagreb airport.
